Our Story

My journey began with a simple love for Japanese food — the kind that brings comfort and joy. When I moved to Canada, I didn’t have a clear plan, but I found myself drawn to the restaurant world the energy of a busy kitchen, the happiness of people enjoying a meal, and the feeling that food could connect people, even far from home.
Wanting to truly understand ramen and Japanese flavors, I traveled to Japan, where I trained under a ramen master. Learning directly from a true craftsman gave me a deep respect for every step of the process from the smallest ingredients to the heart behind every bowl.

After years of learning, experimenting, and growing through many challenges,
Megumi Mazesoba was born not just as a restaurant, but as a small piece of my story. It’s built on hard work, a love for good food, and a commitment to honoring tradition while creating something new. Every dish we serve carries a piece of that journey.
