Kitchen Staff


Currently seeking a full-time Kitchen Staff for our restaurant.

As we are a small team, this will be an opportunity to learn various positions. We require that you have the ability and interest to prep, cook, clean, help plate ramen for our servers during peak hours, wash dishes and food stations, and to execute an ongoing changing and creative menu designed by the Chef.  Training will be provided as needed.

We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, ambitious, teachable, and who has a passion for cooking food, particularly Japanese Ramen.

Job Details

Type: Full-Time
Wages: $17 - $20 per hour
Schedule: 40 - 45 hours per week, schedule TBD each week but must be able to work on weekends
Location: Ability to commute to the Yonge and St. Clair area in Toronto; we are located 2 minute walk from the St. Clair subway station
License/Certification: Food Handler Certification

Duties &

  • Cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas to establish proper hygiene

  • Washing and storing all cooking appliances, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes

  • Promptly responding to instructions and bringing meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen

  • Performing basic preparatory tasks, including washing/cleaning and cutting produce and meats, combining ingredients in recipes

  • Preparing, cooking, and monitoring the ramen broth base, noodles, and other recipes

  • Checking each order contains the right type and amount of sauces and ingredients

  • Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors and wiping walls, and other areas as needed

  • Storing deliveries of produce and other items

  • Assisting in the plating of ramen and side dishes during peak restaurant hours

Skills &

  • Ability to perform well under pressure and work quickly and efficiently

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to enjoy working with others

  • Keenness to follow instructions and prepare ingredients according to the Chef’s instruction

  • Remarkable organization skills and the ability to keep track of kitchen inventory

  • Understanding of health and safety regulations regarding food preparation and storage

  • Basic understanding of how to use kitchen equipment


  • Ideal candidates to have experience working in at least 1 prior commercial kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant or similar position
